Pitchshifter - P.S.I.entology (DVD)

Longstanding leaders of the UK underground music scene, Pitchshifter combined the social confrontation of early punk music with an innovative blend of samples, drum machines, and live music to create a punk-drenched drum'n'bass in the vein of Fear Factory, but which was uniquely their own. Beginning in the early'90s, the band played with an aggressive, industrial sound that attempted to bring their acute social consciousness across to their audiences; they developed a wide fan base touring with the likes of Tool, Korn, Ministry, and Girls Against Boys. P.S.I.entology documents a 13 song set played before an appreciative crowd in their hometown of Nottingham, and includes such favorites as Microwaved, Genius, Please Sir, and many others. The DVD also affords an intimate, behind the scenes look at the group, with commentary and interviews with vocalist J.S. Clayden, photographs, and a short documentary using the band's private footage.
